As CEO of Peer Professionals of California and founder of Lifeline Inmate Services, Robert Forte is a seasoned professional with a rich history in criminal justice and community service. With an unwavering commitment to successful re-entry, Robert has cultivated over 20 years of personal experience that offer invaluable insights and guidance to his clients, while also actively engaging in various advocacy and ambassadorial roles. Driven by his passion to improve the lives of individuals and communities across California, Robert's unique journey has given him the capacity to build and facilitate strategic partnerships.

Through addiction, childhood trauma, and a dysfunctional family environment, Robert's ability to overcome adversity widens his perspective while providing vital insight into the communities he aims to change. His deep involvement with various committees and boards, including the Juvenile Justice Task Force Board and the Council on Criminal Justice and Behavioral Health Board, demonstrates his dedication to fostering positive change within the criminal justice system. Amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Robert spearheaded innovative initiatives, such as the development of a comprehensive video project in collaboration with the San Diego Sheriff's Department. This initiative allowed inmates to access vital re-entry services before their release, significantly enhancing their transition back into society.

In his current role as the State Liaison for the Compassionate Release Program at California Correctional Health Care Services, Robert continues to advocate for compassionate and high-quality care for individuals with severe or terminal illnesses leaving state and federal hospitals.
